The Fairfield West Baptist Church has been part of the city of Fairfield since 1973 and has been located on Muskopf Road since February of 1974. Over the years, the Church, as well as the city of Fairfield, has seen a variety of changes. Just as the city has grown, so has Fairfield West. The Church has grown over the years, both in membership and in campus size, under the leadership of various pastors with Rob Rosenbalm as current pastor. From the beginning, Fairfield West has been centered on the commands of Christ:
1. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:19-20)
2. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” (Matthew 22:37-39)
We exist to reach non-believers and connect them with other believers to help them grow to spiritual maturity & discover their ministry as they honor God with their life.
Fairfield West has a vision for impacting our community: In the past few years, the church has enlarged its ministry to include the community in various outreach events such as the “Awana Club”, “EGG-citing Adventure”, “Trunk or Treat”, The Agora Center food pantry and a nursing home ministry. FWBC cooperates with local organizations to feed over 1,200 children weekly and offer mentoring relationships for those involved in the community. Additionally, Pastor Rob Rosenbalm has served as the Chaplain for the Fairfield Fire Department since December 2000.
Fairfield West has a vision for impacting the world: The Church currently supports sixty-three (51) missionaries at home and around the world including a children’s feeding center in the Philippines, which provides two meals a day for over forty children. Many of these children would go to bed hungry every night if it were not for this feeding center.
Can the Church make a difference? Can the Church make a lasting impact in the lives of children and adults alike? Yes, the Church can do just that. Fairfield West Baptist Church is an example of bridging the gap of what God has to offer to those who are in need. Anyone and everyone is welcome to come to Fairfield West and see first hand how God works through a people who loves Him and desires to do His Will.
